Greater Tokyo

We started this morning with a tour of Asakusa, after which we took the subway and train over to the main station (“Tokyo”).

While Luke managed the railpass validation, we had the opportunity to walk down to the Imperial Palace and Gardens.

After the train pass formalities we continued to the Harajuku station area and the Meiji Jingu Shrine. From here it was on to Shibuya – with probably the world’s most famous pedestrian intersection with thousands of pedestrians crossing the street in one single green phase.

The tour continued towards Akihabara – Electronic Town, probably THE place on earth to get the newest electronic gadgets – before we made it back to Asakusa and our hotel.
