The last two days of this trip for me – and once again in La Paz.
This time I did, what I missed last time: a guided city tour, including a trip to La Paz’s Moon Valley and a walk down Avenida Santa Cruz. I was really tempted to do the Death Road again – however I am already a survivor and I needed the time…
Back in town – the Aussies and Greig leaving the hotel to something cheaper. In the evening we met anyhow to have dinner together – supposedly the best burger in town…
On some of the pictures it is obvious that some kind of celebration was going on during our stay. In fact Bolivia was celebrating La Paz Day – the day on which La Paz has been liberated from the Spaniards. Most of the streets in the center were closed for traffic in the evening and during the night and people set up stalls selling drinks and food – they were celebrating all Saturday night/ Sunday morning, still being out there drinking and having fun when I left for the airport at 04:15 in the morning.
