Today was dedicated to two excursions.

In the morning we enjoyed a small walk through the jungle, enriched with many explanations about the local flora and fauna, as well as some maggots and a boat ride on a lake. In the afternoon we went fishing and swimming.

I left Victor’s group for this day and joined Elmar’s (who turned out the more dedicated and enthusiastic guide).

As final comment on this experience in the jungle: I expected it to be very similar to the setup we had in the Pantanal. In the end we had more comfort sleeping wise – however the excursions, the wildlife, the guides and the food were far away from what we had in the Pantanal… So if you enjoyed this – go to the Pantanal in Brazil!
