Today we had a full free day in Luang Prabang with plenty of options.

I decided for a serious options in the morning – watching the locals (and some tourists) giving alms to the monks before breakfast … after breakfast I continued the Buddhist experience on a boat trip to the Pak Ou Caves. The caves feature hundreds of Buddha statues; the trip came complete with plenty of stops in little villages on the way.

We had a late return from the boat trip … got back to town around 13:15 … with my second tour to the waterfall already starting at 13:30. A tuktuk got me back to the hotel, next door I got a snack … before departing on the trip to Kouang Si Waterfall

Here we had plenty of time for a walk around the waterfall, with some of us venturing out to see its top.
