Today was dedicated to one of the highlights of the tour – the Plain of Jars. This had also been one of the main motivators for me – to actually do this tour.

We spent the day exploring the main jar sites – listening to our guide for the explanations and speculation around the origin of the jars.

We returned back to town in the late afternoon; I walked over to town to get a MAG t-shirt and to support them in their mine clearing activities. On my way back to the hotel, suddenly a local on his moped stopped next to me – and asked me if I could help and jump in as replacement English teacher … so I ended up in school for a few hours (no photos unfortunately) and gave some English lessons … strange world, isn’t it?
