We flew into Luang Prabang on the evening of the 16th using the national carrier Air Laos.
This Monday morning started off with a guided tour of Luang Prabang and some of the more famous of its temples, the national museum and the golden stupa.
This was followed by a quick side visit of the local market (including an opportunity for some nice smell of fish sauce) and then on to the Royal Palace Museum.
After the museum we continued to the next temple – Wat Xiang Thong – probably the oldest in Luang Prabang. From here it was (you may not guess it) on to the yet another temple (and I unfortunately have no clue which … there are just too many in Luang Prabang).
Our last and final stop on our tour through Luang Prabang – and also the hardest – was at Phou Si hill with its crown, a Buddhist stupa.
