After breakfast we were back to the longboats, heading further upstream – destination of the day being Mulu National Park’s camp 5.

On the way we had a number of stops, the first already after short time at a settlement to see the village and check out their souvenir market. Once we were back to the longboats, we continued upstream to see two of Mulu’s show caves – Clearwater Cave and Wind Cave.

After visiting the caves we had lunch and an option for a quick swim – before heading on upstream to the starting point of our 8km trek through the jungle to camp 5.

After arrival at camp 5 there was a further opportunity for a quick dip into the river to cool down, this was followed by group dinner and getting mentally prepared for the Pinnacles climb on the next morning. 😉
