Now may Patagonia tour had started … and today was the first real day of the tour. Yesterday a plane had brought us from Buenos Aires to Bariloche; we now had a day for action. Most of us – including myself – took the bus over to the cable car station to get the cable car up to the snowy peak of Cerro Otto.
We spent some time at the mountain station with its observation platforms (and a night club??). Afterwards we went on a short – two hour – hike back to Bariloche; during the hike we could enjoy superb views – overall it was a good introduction to what was up to come later on during the tour.
Lisa, James and myself spent the afternoon with one of the other attractions of Bariloche – we went from one chocolate factory to the other with free chocolate samples to try. In between we also walked down to Nahuel Huapi lake.
