We continued our journey South along the Eureka Sound; in the afternoon the ship took a further turn into one of the fjords into Ellesmere Island. Once more the zodiacs were readied up for a landing in the Vesle Fjord.
Similar to previous landings we followed the expedition team up a hill and another hill and another hill – from one vantage point to the next … great views everywhere – and a plethora of plant life all around. A real surprise considering how scarce flora had been during previous landing – and also considering it being very late fall.
Further up we had good views into the back country of Ellesmere Island, covered by high mountains and glaciers.
