We had made it into Batumi yesterday – a rainy day. The rain continued today, though with some sunny spots, things looked better. I decided to have a walk on myself in the morning (with the occasional shower), making it to the beach and then along the seafront promenade to Ferris Wheel and back via the city center.

In the early afternoon we had a proper guided city tour, covering the key downtown and beach attractions (including a group of guard dogs). The tour was followed by a Turkish lunch. After that it was back to the sea, where we decided, to make the trip up the Alphabet Tower, to then make it back to the hotel along the beach – now with blue skies and sunshine.
