From Puerto de la Cruz it was up to Tenerife’s Botanical Garden. This garden was originally created back in the 18th century, to see how the plants from the new world would be doing in a more European climate – prior to bringing them to Spain. The garden today features a wide variety of plants from around the world.
Next stop was in Orotava at the Plaza de la Constitución (not “Concepcion”); from here we had a tour around town via Victoria Garden and a smaller botanical garden, to eventually pass by Casa Benitez de Lugo Viñas and the Casa de los Balcones – before getting back to the bus for the final leg of our journey for the day.
