Back to the Sea – Busan

Another quick train ride got me to Busan; I arrived here midday Thursday – and with great weather I decided to head out to for a walk in the coastal park in the South of Yeongdo Island. I made the full roundloop with side exploration – coming to an overall 5km. This included stops at various viewpoints, a beach, a lighthouse and a temple.

In the evening I made it over to the Nampo area for an evening stroll, including BIFF Street and Yongdusan Park with the Busan Tower – with great, but not so photogenic views from top (the windows did not allow for great photos).

On Friday there was rain, rain and more rain. In the morning I attempted some sightseeing and made my way over to Jagalchi Market – Korea’s biggest fresh fish and seafood food market (and fresh they were … mostly still alive).

With the rain just getting worse, I decided to throw in a spa day and another Korean experience: jjimjilbang, the Korean kiln sauna. No better way to pass a rainy day … and spent it wet (just a different form of wet).
