I had made it back to Germany from Malaysia. Though, my trip around the world was not yet at an end: instead of heading back to Frankfurt right away, I had put in a stop-over in Bavaria for a bit of a family visit.

We spent some good time with trips to Erding and Munich, as well as to Burghausen (the town with the world’s longest castle complex in the world) and Altötting with its churches and shrines. Below a few impressions.

I ultimately made it back to Frankfurt on Jun-09 – as such closing the loop and finishing the trip around the world. The trip has been simply amazing: all the experiences, the foods, modes of transport, types of accommodation, the people and cultures – and how things change from destination to destination. Well – and travel is not over yet – there is more to come, stay tuned.
