We spent the night on a private campsite outside the National Park.
After a generous breakfast we got transferred back to the Torres Hotel – yesterday’s starting point was also the one of today. Destination of the day though was Refugio Las Torres, the distance being 12km with only slight elevation changes – overall a nice walk (no … I don’t consider this a hike) around the shores of a number of lakes with good views (again) and even better weather.
We made it closer to Refugio Las Torres in the late afternoon – time for showers and relaxation. Most memorable – the close-to-sauna-like conditions in the refugio … temperatures must have been well above 35 degrees inside (sun-facing glasshouse – plus running heating), while we had around 17 degrees outside. Food of course was served inside … hot food … I could not help it and stayed outside between courses 😉
