We had a busy day ahead of us today – and this being my birthday – a special one for myself (and not just for me – also for one of my fellow travelers, who happened to celebrate today as well).

We left the hotel in the morning for a drive of about 45 minutes to the small port of Papissaare for the trip over to the island of Vilsandi and Vilsandi National Park.

Once on the island we engaged into a hike of about 9km first following the shoreline all the way up to the lighthouse (close to the North-Western corner of the island). From here we made it back on a trail through the center of the island. We eventually arrived back to the small port on the island – ready to make it back to the main (is)land.
