We had a full day to explore the highlights of Yellowstone and to work on our Junior Ranger books. We started in the morning – after a pretty cold night at around -7 ° C – and made it to Old Faithful well in time for its four-minute eruption at 09:48. After a walk around the Upper Geyser Basin we made it back just in time for its next eruption at 11:21 and a ranger talk. We continued the drive in Yellowstone along Yellowstone lake for a stop at Mud Volcano and the Dragon’s Mouth. From here we continued to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The final highlight of the day was a stop for a walk to see the Grand Prismatic Spring.
