A few friends and myself made it into Helsinki (Finland) over the Easter Holidays. We used our first day for some first explorations on what (based on what we were told later on) was the first sunny and (somewhat) warm day of the year in Helsinki.

After a coffee/ tea break in the early afternoon, we boarded a ship for a harbour/ city cruise. During the cruise we had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of what would follow the day after – Suomenlinna, Helsinki’s sea fortress.

Back on land we made our way back to the hotel (with some additional stops of course) to get ready for the quest to find an open restaurant for dinner.
