This morning – the morning of our last full day on Bali – we started with a visit to the Bali Botanical Garden. For me this garden seemed not to be more than a usual park; the garden of most of our hotels were (to my taste) landscaped in a nicer way.
Nevertheless – when we left, it started to get packed with locals heading for the garden in sheer busloads … we however went down to shore of Lake Bratan to jump into the local version of canoes, rowing (or better paddling) our way to the nearby Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple. The temple is one of the most important temples on Bali going back to the 17th century.
On the way back to Ubud, we had a further stop at a silver workshop – following the usual scheme we first got an introduction of how they work, followed by a visit of the store. I chickened out and had some tea.
