We left Wayllabamba after a great pancake breakfast – all of us looking forward for the 1200m elevation gain for Dead Women’s Pass / Warmimanuska – up to 4200m.

It was pretty cold with the sun still being behind the mountains, when we got going. However one got warm pretty quickly during the hike.

It now was up, up and up – until we made it to the pass – from here it was done again – until we made it to the next campsite.
