Today worked out different than planned – the original plan had been to take an early boat from Panajachel to San Pedro and then to hike up San Pedro Volcano.

We got up at five in the morning, went to the docks, but anyhow managed to miss the boat, which meant we couldn’t make it to San Pedro in time to finish the hike and get the last boat back.

At least the early morning view and atmosphere at the lake shore made it worth it having stood up so early.

Iryna and myself decided to go for breakfast and then have a boat trip around the island, over to San Pedro, then on to Santiago Atitlan and Santa Catarina – before heading back to Panajachel.
