Today was our full day in the Rio Dulce region. We spent it on an all day boat trip, first going downstream to the coast and Livingston – with an occasional stop on the way.
We had lunch in Livingston. On the way back we stopped at a village and also had (on another stop) the opportunity for a swim.
We made it back to our resort in the afternoon; some of the group stayed here, while the rest continued on the boat to get to a hot spring further upstream.
Eventually we changed from boat to a tractor to finally get to the hot springs. In this case, pretty strange hot springs – with the cascades of a waterfall being the hot spring, but the river water coming from the mountains and thus fuc**ing cold. To get to the hot water, one – of course – first had to swim through the cold water … and once one had enough from the hot water (or the time was over) – you guess it – one had to get into the cold water again … how nice was Baldi… Again we took the tractor to get back to the river bank and the boat.
