We left Flores in the middle of night; the plan was to be on one of the big Maya pyramids just in time to watch the sun rise over the jungle and the Tikal ruin site – similar to my experience in Calakmul a few years back … Here things worked different: we were there … and so was the fog … bad luck in the end.

Afer sunrise we started with our guided tour around the ruin site; at least we were lucky with our guide.
