Saturday – finally … a break from all that hard research work; using the day to explore some temples.

In the morning Sanjiev, Lya, Lesley, most of the interns and myself headed of for Guiyuan Temple.

After an amazing lunch at one of the Buddhist restaurants linked to the temple (including some of the best meat and fish imitations I ever came across), we continued the trip to  Chang Chun Taoist temple on the other side of the river.

From the temple we made it back to the hotel to meet up again with the other interns (of course we had to cross the river once again …).

From the hotel we made it through the pedestrian area to finally end up in the place (Emad acting as the guide) with our panda friend waving to us in front – – a hot pot restaurant. After dinner the group split; Lesley, Theresa and the Westerners continued to celebrate a good day – looking forward for another great one yet to come.
