This day was our day in Khiva. We started in the morning with a half day guided tour to the main sights – all of course well described, with historic background and details on architecture and art.
The afternoon was on ourselves – precious free time – an opportunity to get lost in the streets of old town on ourselves, climbing up to the watch tower and/or a minaret or simply to just have a tea under a mulberry tree in a chaikhana (traditional tea house).
