We spent a whole day in and around Bundi – going through the local attractions.

We started the day with – what I consider the most impressive – a visit to two stepwells – both simply wells with steps leading to the water – but in both cases major constructions and beautifully built – see the photos and judge for yourself.

We had several further stops, including the summer palace (where Rudyard Kipling spent some time and supposedly got the inspiration to write ‘Kim’) and a stop in a village (and a tour around the village). Lunch was served in the exclusive surroundings of a heritage hunting mansion … before making it back to the hotel (with further stops on the way back).
