We left Castle Bijaipur and continued to Udaipur. The city – complete with a massive city palace – sits straight next to Pichola Lake – often described as the most romantic place in India. To me it certainly had a bit of a Venice feeling, though I am not sure, if I’d agree on the ‘most romantic’ here.

After arrival we had a (not so) quick lunch, enjoying the views from the hotel’s rooftop restaurant; during a short walk we got an introduction to town before making it on a boat for sunset trip around the lake.
