It’s the End of the World as we know it (and I feel fine)

Given where we were heading for today, I just had to quote the title of a well known R.E.M. piece here … though – admittedly – I still had yesterday’s hike up Adam’s Peak in my legs and knees, so did not feel overly fine.

Anyway – today we kicked it of at 05:00 in the morning; making our way over to Horton Plains NP for a hike to World’s End. At World’s End the Sri Lankan highlands come to a sudden end – result is a cliff with a drop well above 1000m – making up amazing views towards the lower hill country and the lowlands (as well as the incoming clouds).
