More of Tiraspol

Today was a free day in Tiraspol.

I essentially did a big walk in the morning and the early afternoon … kicking it of with the botanical garden (which was closed to my disappointment) and then on to the Monument to Aviators, which was well worth a quick visit (it’s not too often, one can see a MIG fighter jet these days – isn’t it?). I made my way back to downtown, now heading for Pobeda (victory) Park with its amusement section (complete with Ferris Wheel, bumper cars and a (very) small (defunct?) roller coaster next to other attractions).

I continued to the train station with a stop in Kirov Park with its Presentation of the Child Jesus Church (currently under renovation) on the way. I finally made it back to the center for a more closer look at the Monument to Suvorov and the tank in the memorial complex.

After a quick walk across the bridge and to the beach I made my way back to the hotel – to prepare for a very KVINT-essential afternoon activity 😉
