Once we had seen enough coffins (per Mel’s discretion), we continued for the other big attraction of Sagada – the Sagada Underground River … so we were kind of heading from a cemetery into the underworld.
A quick hike from Echo Valley did bring us to the mouth of the cave. Shoes were taken off now and flashlights got out – and we were going into the cave following the river. After about half an hour we were seeing light again – we had arrived at the other end of the cave.
We continued to hike for another good half hour – continuing to follow the river (now just in jungle-like surroundings), eventually we reached a pool with a waterfall – a welcome break for swim (at least for some).
