Sydney Harbour Impressions

The weather forecast for today had looked as bad as yesterday – so I was happily surprised, to see that the day turned out to be a sunny one.

Thanks to the jet-lag I had an early start once more. Though, this being a Monday, finding a place for an early breakfast was not difficult. After a lengthy breakfast I had  walk around the BCD – which was very different from Sunday (busy and alive) – before heading back to the hotel, to check-out and move my stuff over to the other hotel, included in the cruise package (an eight minute walk, so no big deal). I was lucky and able to get into my room on the spot, so I moved my stuff in and had another walk in the area.

At 11:15 I made it over to the Sydney office, to meet up with my Sydney colleagues for lunch (most of which I had not met in person yet); from the office we made it to Circular Quay, to fetch the ferry to Watsons Bay for a great laid-back, seafood lunch.

We made it back to town well after three – we parted and I continued with my tourist program – now heading onto the bridge and walking to the bridge pylon – to get up to the viewpoint for great views of the bridge, the harbour and town. From here I continued to Darling Harbour, this time all the way to the area around the Maritime Museum (which was already closed at this time); I once more circled the Haymarket area – to end up with a light dinner in the Rocks area.
