Along Issyk-Köl – back to Bishkek

Today we closed our circle around Lake Issyk-Köl – now following the road on its Southern bank … and then the road back to Bishkek – all in all a good 400 km.

Already after an hour or so we did the first stop – to catch a glimpse of Kyrgyz life at a cattle market. Around lunchtime the bus pulled into a small village. Here we visited an eagle hunter to get some insight into this traditional form of hunting utilizing eagles as weapon rather than a shotgun. We were also invited for tea, fresh bread and yummy homemade fruit spreads.

From here the drive back to Bishkek was little eventful (beside a sandstorm) – with only some toilet breaks.
