It was a short night … after passing through the Neumayer Channel the previous night and getting to bed around midnight, we now had the ‘highlight channel’ ahead of us – the Lemaire Channel. We started our journey at 04:00 in the morning and were rewarded with perfect weather, some of the nicest light and a Lord of the Rings‘esque atmosphere.
