Final Impressions

As we had landed at Cape Horn, we now had to continue to Puerto Williams to officially clear into Chile – and the out again. Final port of call was at good, old Ushuaia on the Argentinian side of the Beagle Channel. It was here, where we left the Hanseatic (after many good-byes to the staff) and jumped on a plane to Buenos Aires.

We had another 24 hours in Buenos Aires – (what happened in Buenos Aires, stays in Buenos Aires) – before flying back to Germany – and into normality.

Bavarian “Frühschoppen”

Being with a German cruise company this time also meant that certain traditions had to be followed – one being to have a Bavarian “Frühschoppen” on one day of the cruise, including traditional foods and music.

Paradise Harbour – Glacier Cruise

After the climb the groups changed … now it was our turn for the zodiac cruise around the glacier tongues of Paradise Harbour.

Errera Channel

It was dinner time when we made it back to the ship (… seems it is always time for a meal, when you are on a ship that offers seven (yes – seven !!) meals a day …). So we had another opulent dinner while cruising through some of the most fabulous landscape on the planet.
